FilmAble - a new club for film makers in the voluntary world
FilmAble - short courses that make film making easy.
Get your story across with video for your website and social media.
You know it’s no longer enough to have a static text web site especially if you want to engage with young people. Research shows 60% of 18 - 26 year olds only use Smartphones for Internet access and the phrase ‘the laptop is dead’ is commonplace.
What does this mean for your organisation? It means you need to engage with short, informative video and audio clips and deliver your message direct to potential volunteers, funders and supporters using small format devices. It’s digital storytelling.
And you don’t need a Hollywood budget!
FilmAble workshops will train you to make effective short videos using just your Smartphone or tablet. You will be able to get the most out of the device you carry in your pocket and put your message into action.
We even have a free taster session on Saturday 29th August at Westgate Chapel, 92a High Street, Lewes BN71XH from 10am - 1pm
Workshop dates are Sept 12, Oct 10, Nov 7, Dec 12 again 10am - 1pm, with a cost effective £320 fee per participant for the four workshops we also have bursaries for registered disabled. All workshops will take place at Westgate.
The Oyster Project is a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service bearing charity based in Lewes. It’s members have made extensive use of video, audio, podcasting and internet broadcasting to get the charity's message across. FilmAble workshops are a way of sharing that information and expertise with other groups and organisations engaged in voluntary work.
