The Infant King 2016
VizAbility - is a venue based project started in early 2015. It comes about as a result of pilot research and development work funded by the National Lottery and undertaken in practice based projects such as a Drama Group, Headfirst Contemporary Dance group and film making by disabled people. As a direct result we also created the 'FilmAble' film makers workshops and staged numerous performance events curated and managed by people with disability.
The VizAbility space and concept raises the profile of disability, it creates communication and community building.
The VizAbility empowerment space we have created hosts activities that present a positive and creative view of what people with disability can contribute to society and the community.
Based at Westgate in Lewes our aim is to utilise a working space to explore, communicate and record. Using video, drama, events, dance and sound we showcase the range of creativity member volunteers undertake.
